Second half loss again

Ely City A 1 - 3 Outwell Swifts

Still in need of a win Ely decided to have a change of tactics. Welcoming Johnny Walace to the team and Luke Fretwell got his opportunity to go up front.

The first half was as good as performance as any this season. Ely were breaking well and it was only a silly through ball that caught Ely off guard.

Ely were getting balls in the Outwells box and looked likely to score. Jamie Linney hit the perfect free kick to Luke who headed it to the bottom corner only to be pushed around the post by the keeper. It was a long throw into the box that eventually found Luke's feet and the back of the net. I would like to say it was impressive but...

Ely never got out of the starting blocks second half, a lot of short passes, wrong decisions, and general lack of awareness paid its price and Ely found themselves in a familiar position. 3-1 down.

Definitely couldn't blame the ref this time who had a good game.
